Startup Company Lawyer

This first recommendation it’s pretty obvious. The author of the Blog, Yoichiro “Yokum” Taku, is a Lawyer and Partner of the California based Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, one of the Law Firms whit bigger exposure to Startup deals in the United States.

The content, exposed in a very clear and formal way, is oriented to entrepreneurs who want to know more about the legal implications of forming a startup in the United States, although most of the practices presented can be applied to other ecosystems around the globe.

The main page has an index that goes through a lot of the key questions that an entrepreneur should have along the life of his venture, each one of them answered by an expert whit more than 20 years experienced consulting for startups. The Blog’s point of view is presented above all from a legal perspective, so the reading, though valuable, can be somewhat tedious to anyone who has not been trained in the world of law. Go to Blog.

FeldThoughts

Brad Feld writes from his experience as a VC (Venture Capitalist), which has been accumulated for most than 25 years in the industry. Nowadays he is a partner on the “Foundry Group” Venture Capital, but before this he had founded other funds as “Mobius Venture. It’s also a co-founder of Techstars.

The subjects of the Blog is very wide (from marathons to podcast reviews) but the main focus is clearly to transmit valuable lessons from a Venture Capital point of view, and to teach startups to deal with the different stages of funding.

Is possible to find information about almost everything related with startups funding trough private investment. From the meaning of pro-rata rights, to the importance of putting together a good founder team. Always from a rather irreverent narrative and a light reading. Go to Blog.

Tech Crunch

If you consider yourself a tech startup and you still don’t know this web site, you should rethink your position. Tech Crunch is not properly a Blog, it’s a media or online magazine that publishes new entries or coverage about technology every 15 minutes approximately, also publishes startups profiles and Internet products reviews.

They gather an informed team of columnist and contributors that generate a huge amount of content. According to the information published in the site, the get more than 37 millions views per month, so they can be considered as an authority in the technology area.

They also administrate CrunchBase, an open database that compiles information about startup companies, people and investors. In addition the host conferences on technology as “Disrupt” and events like “Crunchies Awards”. Go to Blog.
